10,000 Voices for Peace

The Better World Campaign is pleased to announce that over 10,000 supporters have sent personal messages of thanks to show their appreciation to United Nations Peacekeepers. 

More than 100,000 peacekeepers put on their blue helmets every day, in 16 conflict zones, to promote global peace and progress. UN Peacekeepers play an essential role in:

  • Monitoring cease-fires and training local law enforcement;
  • Supporting refugees and internally displaced persons; and
  • Facilitating the delivery of humanitarian aid.

In many of these places, governments and aid organizations cannot go it alone -- the work of UN peacekeepers helps provide the security and stability needed for progress towards sustainable peace.
