Take a minute to watch a video honoring peacekeepers. Then join us by signing a letter thanking the 100,000 brave men and women from 160 countries serving as UN peacekeepers in 15 of the most difficult regions in the world, rebuilding societies wracked by violence and natural disasters, restoring confidence in people who have known little but war, and bringing peace to some of the most violent conflicts on earth.

Join us now. [We will send this letter on your behalf to the UN Department of Peacekeeping Operations and to all 15 UN peacekeeping missions currently in operation worldwide.

Write to Congress

Ask your Member of Congress to join the newly formed American Engagement Caucus, a bipartisan group of Members of Congress led by Congressmen Russ Carnahan (D-MO) and Anh Joseph Cao (R-LA). The Caucus will educate and advocate within the U.S. government about the United States’ role in the world, including its work with the UN and other international institutions.

I am writing to encourage you to join the newly formed American Engagement Caucus. This Caucus will provide a valuable forum for you and your colleagues to discuss how the United States can most effectively work with other nations and international institutions to resolve the most important global problems.

Since the United States can neither ignore today's many transnational challenges nor solve them acting alone, it is imperative that we assess how best to engage with our international partners and multilateral organizations.

The American Engagement Caucus can help stimulate new ideas and policies for effective international collaboration. It will aim to do so by assessing the pros and cons of working with international and regional organizations like the United Nations, the African Union, and the European Union.

It will also seek to better educate lawmakers about the benefits and difficulties of international cooperation, identify strategies for strengthening collective action, and address global issues such as climate change, peacekeeping, and arms control.

I strongly urge you to join and actively participate in this important new member organization. To join the American Engagement Caucus, or to get additional information, contact Jeremy Haldeman in Congressman Russ Carnahan's office (at 225.2671 or jeremy.haldeman@mail.house.gov) or Dang Nguyen in Congressman Anh Joseph Cao's office (at 225.6636 or dang.nguyen@mail.house.gov).

Please encourage your representative to join the American Engagement Caucus and impact international relations.
